In my coaching and personal experience, I've noticed a deep polarity in the arena of relationships. If a guy is single he is "free" -- able to do as he pleases and see who he pleases (at least imagine he can). However, this same guy is often times drawn to the companionship offered by a committed relationship. Suddenly, our guy has silently given up many things: maybe friendships, activities he loves and most devastatingly his desire for other women can become crushed in the bowels of shame.
